MLK for a day

I lke this song bcause in inspires me.

What I learned

I learned a lot of things espically nonviolence so I put the quote "Nonviolence is not cowardly . Nonviolence is direct action and requires much courage. The method of ressistance is nonaggressive, but the resister is constantly trying to persuade the oppresors that they are wrong." Because everyone that said non-violence is cowardly in the end he got what he was fighting for.

Reflection on Martin Luther King

Lately we have been doing things to honor M artin Luther King and I would like to look back what we did. First we listened to Dr. Billy Taylor's song, " Peaceful Warrior" and while we listened we had to draw a picture. It really made me think about how many people are greatful to him. Then we had to read a poem about him and how he hit and locked up many times but he never hit back and he always stood his ground. Then we had to right a poem about how something bad can turn good like Martin Luther King did more than 40 years ago.

My side of the mountain authors preface

My side of the mountain is by a women named Jean Craighead George. Who you learn in the authors preface dreamed of running away. So her father showed her what it would be like if she did run away.  She didn't run away but she did research what it would be like she found a book that taught her many things you do to survive in the wild like traps, food etc. Her brothers taught her how to train an falcon. She also learned that you can camp in a tree. These things inspired her to write this book at first she got denied but then they changed there mind and it was published in spring of 59.
